Priya Sanger is Corporate Counsel at Google Inc. in Mountain View, CA where she is a product counsel and financial services attorney. Priya concentrates on Ads and Commerce initiatives domestically and internationally, including the Google Wallet app, Google Play, YouTube FanFunding, Google Shopping Express, and other projects in the mobile payments, apps, and social media space.
Priya was voted a Top Woman Leader in Law in California by the Recorder Legal Newspaper in 2012, a Corporate Counsel of the Year by the South Asian Bar Association in 2013, and a finalist for Corporate Counsel of the Year in 2014 by the Silicon Valley Business Times.
Prior to working at Google, Priya was a lawyer at Wells Fargo Bank in San Francisco in the Strategy and Operational Risk Group where she worked on corporate and regulatory law, privacy and information security law, technology licensing, and M&A. She also worked on establishing a business branch of Wells Fargo Bank in London.
In 2011, Priya was elected President of the 142-year old Bar Association of San Francisco and was the first in-house counsel and first South Asian to serve in that role.
Priya is licensed to practice law in California and New York, and is admitted to the Bars of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.
